Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One handsets are now shipping

HTC One Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition
Here’s some good news if you’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of your new smartphone, the Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One handsets have begun shipping out from Google, right on schedule. If you pre-ordered one, then you should receive an email with a tracking number sometime today.
As you probably already know, the Google Edition versions of the Galaxy S4 and HTC One are pretty much just stock Android versions of these flagship handsets, with exactly the same hardware as their standard counterparts. .
One of the major perks, beside the absence of Samsung and HTC user interfaces, being that you’ll receive Android updates quicker than you would on a standard Galaxy S4 or HTC One handset.Android 4.3 is incoming, and is already expected to land on these Google Edition smartphones in just a few weeks, now that the handsets are shipping out.
If you need a quick recap of the differences, or if you’re still undecided about whether you should choose stock Android over Touchwiz or Sense 5, then check out our own David Gonzales’ recent breakdown of the stock Samsung Galaxy S4. If you haven’t already ordered your handset, there's still time to grab one from the Google Play Store.

Source Code Reveals iPhone 5S May Include Slow Motion Video Recording Feature

Code hidden inside iOS 7 suggests that the next generation iPhone could include a new "Mogul" camera mode, offering video recording at a rate of 120 frames-per-second, reports 9to5Mac.
According to our analysis and testing of the code, "Mogul" is a feature in development that allows the iPhone to capture video at an exceptionally fast and precise rate. Specifically, our testing indicates that the feature can allow the iPhone to record video at a rate of 120 frames-per-second (FPS). The resolution at which this 120FPS video could be recorded at, however, is currently unclear.

Capturing video at 120FPS would allow iPhone users to create slow motion films. Slow motion video requires frames to be captured at a fast rate, which then appear to be slowed down when replayed at a standard speed.
Many action cameras, such as the GoPro Hero3, include slow motion recording capabilities. Samsung's popular flagship phone, the Galaxy S4, also includes a slow motion mode. While the code does not suggest a resolution for Apple's Mogul mode, recording at 120FPS often requires a lower resolution. The video below demonstrates 120FPS video shot with the Samsung Galaxy Camera.

While testing the mode, 9to5Mac found that Mogul would not activate on an iPhone 5 due to unsupported hardware, which suggests that it is intended for a future iPhone. Like Siri was reserved for the iPhone 4S, Mogul may be reserved for the iPhone 5S.
As the iPhone has grown in popularity as a photography device, Apple has worked hard to improve the camera, continually adding new features like Panorama mode and volume shutter control.
Many of these upgrades come alongside Apple's "S" phone releases. The iPhone 4S, for example, featured an 8-megapixel rear camera, which was a significant upgrade from the iPhone 4's 5-megapixels.
Apple is expected to make similar upgrades to the iPhone's camera with the 5S, including a 12-megapixel rear camera and improved night shooting capabilities in addition to the possible Mogul mode. iOS 7 also brings a number of camera improvements to developers, including full support for high frame-rate content and 60-frames-per second capture capabilities. Both iOS 7 and the iPhone 5S are expected to debut in the fall.

The Department of Homeland Security plans to replace the presidential limousine by 2015.

“We at Cadillac consider it a great honor and responsibility to carry on the tradition of presidential cars,” said Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell. “But there’s absolutely nothing we would say directly about the future.”
The Commander-in-Chief’s current ride, also known as Cadillac One or The Beast, which weighs around 15,000 pounds, is to be replaced by 2015. The Beast, which was designed to resemble a 2008 Cadillac DTS, is in fact a hybrid which brings together Cadillac components and the Chevrolet Kodiak commercial truck, plus tons of heavy armor.
The New Design Armored Limousine “will include concept development, armor design, initial automotive component selection and chassis development, material testing, armor system modeling and simulation, and armor system fabrication and testing (live fire),” according to the request for information posted on FebBizOpps.gov.
According to anonymous sources the new presidential limousine will be fitted with night vision system, the stock door handles will be replaced by special lopes allowing the Secret Service agents to hold on to them while running along the car, the special tires will be provided by Goodyear, the armor will consist of 8-inch plates serving as wall even against improvised explosive device and also 5-inch multi-layer windows. The car will be sealed to protect against biochemical attacks and in the truck there will be a blood bank with the President’s blood type. The car will be driven by Secret Service agents trained in evasive driving techniques, among which the J-turn maneuver, which turns the vehicle 180 degrees in several seconds.
Since 1939 the automakers which provided Presidential limousines were GM, Chrysler and Ford, with Franklin Delano Roosevelt having the “Sunshine Special,” based on a Lincoln K-Series chassis with a V-12 engine. Teddy Roosevelt was the first president who commissioned a government-owned car, which was a white convertible Stanley Steamer.

Politicians loved convertibles, as they loved to be seen by their constituents. But this as to be changed after Kennedy’s assassination in his midnight blue 1961 stretched Lincoln Continental. Since then Presidential vehicles would feature body armoring and bulletproof hardtop. But problems can still appear, taken the example with President Barack Obama’s limo which broke down in Israel after the driver filled the tank with the wrong type of fuel.
